About this event
The presentation will focus on the 2026 Philadelphia Flower Show which is titled Rooted: Origins of American Gardening. The theme will be explored through the various garden design classes and horticulture a visitor can expect to see at the Show. In 2026, Philadelphia will celebrate its 250th anniversary (semi quincentennial). Connecting with that, the Show will highlight Philadelphia’s Hidden Histories, in gardens and designs as well as a look at World’s Fairs from around the world. The ever popular Miniature Settings Classes will highlight specific moments in history from pre-historic times to present day. The spectacular entry way will highlight structures crafted specifically for the Convention Center space with extraordinary lighting, visual effects and floral designs. The presentation will also explain the entry process with a particular focus on the Horticulture Court where houseplants rub shoulders with Grand Old Plants and Rarities of the botanical world. Attendees will also learn how to become a volunteer at the show in the numerous supporting roles necessary to one of the top 3 Flower Shows in the World.
The presentation will also briefly show how the 2026 Philadelphia Flower Show supports the engagement of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society throughout the Philadelphia Community.
