In recognition of May Skin Cancer Awareness Month, a short educational presentation and free skin cancer screening was available. Dr. Mark Abdelmalek and Dr. Shoshana Grossman of Dermatology of Philadelphia provided a 5 minute basic skincancer screening for each participant. This included a check of any concerning  skin issues, including any change in color, shape, border, or size of moles.

Dr. Mark Abdelmalek is a highly regarded skin cancer surgeon and ABC News reporter.  He is dual board certified in Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery and Dermatology and the founder of Dermatology of Philadelphia|Mohs Surgery Center which opened in Philadelphia in 2020. Dr. Mark is also an adjunct Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Shoshana Grossman joined Dermatology of Philadelphia in August 2021. Dr. Grossman is a board certified dermatologist and practices general, complex medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

She attended the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, where she graduated with distinction and was awarded the 2017 Excellence in Dermatology award.
